Change strategy, sundry shop operators urged

SUNDRY shop operators should stock their premises with competitively priced goods imported from China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand and to operate like convenient stores to compete with supermarkets and hypermarkets. 

Lian Hing Chuan, president of the Federation of Sundry Merchants Associations Malaysia, said sundry shop operators who were facing stiff competition from giant retailers should take advantage of the consumer goods offered by those countries.
