LUMUT: Thirty-four Indonesian fishermen were detained near Pulau Jarak by the enforcement division of the Fisheries Department for allegedly encroaching into Malaysian waters.
Tactical and enforcement officer Saad Mohamad said the department’s patrol craft was on its routine patrol in the area when it received information about a foreign fishing boat in Malaysian waters about 30 nautical miles from here at about 2.30am on Saturday.
