KEPALA BATAS: Umno is confident that it would be able to regain the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat, which is now held by Parti Keadilan Nasional president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the party election machinery was ready to take on the opposition and added that it is confident it would be able to win back the parliamentary seat and two state seats – in Penanti and Permatang Pasir – which it lost to the opposition in Penang, in the last general election.
