PETALING JAYA: Theatre practitioners and others responded with mixed views yesterday to news of City Hall's decision not to issue any more performing licences to the Instant Cafe Theatre (ICT) company after it failed to revise the script of a show.
Five Arts Centre co-founder and executive producer Marion D'Cruz said “such repressive and retrogressive measures by the authorities” was a step backwards for a Malaysia that aspired to be progressive and enlightened in all areas.
