SEREMBAN: Indonesians West Sumatra Governor heads the state honours list in conjunction with the 80th birthday celebration of the Yang Di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Jaafar today.
H. Sutan Zainal Bakar will receive the Darjah Setia Utama Negri Sembilan, which carries the title Datuk Seri Utama.
Former Felda chairman Raja Tan Sri Muhamad Alias Mohd Ali will also receive the same award.
Two others, army chief Datuk Wira Mohd Shahrom Nordin and the Yang di-Pertuan Besars youngest daughter-in-law, Tunku Datin Seri Mimi Wahida Tunku Wahman, will be conferred the Seri Paduka Tuanku Jaafar Yang Amat Terpuji (SPTJ), which carries the title Datuk Seri.
A total of 27 recipients will be conferred the Datuk Setia Negri Sembilan (DSNS), which carries the title Datuk, including three first-term exco members.
They are state Education Youth and Sports Committee chairman Zakaria Nordin, Unity and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman T. Rajagopalu and Family and Women Development Committee chairman Norhayati Omar.
The others include Bahau state assemblyman See Ah Kow, The Store director Tang Yeam Soon, Urban and Rural Development Ministry Director-General Mutalib Jelani, Rasah Umno division chief Datuk Mohamad Hasan, Tenaga Nasional vice-president Mohd Zainal Azirun and Bioven Holdings chief executive officer Mukriz Mahathir.
Thirty-one others will receive the Datuk Paduka Tuanku Jaafar, which also carries the title Datuk.
Among them are state Drainage and Irrigation Department director R. Batumalai, Salcon Engineering chief executive officer Lim See Teok, TV3 chief executive officer Ahmad Farid Ridzuan, Taman Ekar Sdn Bhd managing director Cheok Kian Yek and state MIC Sports and Culture Bureau chairman Dr V.K. Pani.
Another 27 will receive the Darjah Setia Negri Sembilan (DNS), including state Forestry Department director Mahdan Bongkik, Bandar Baru Nilais director Ng Moh Chee and Tampin OCPD Supt Ab Wahab Datuk Seri Azizul.
Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Khalid Abu Hassan is among 22 recipients of the Pingat Perkerti Terpilih (PKT).
The Jaksa Pendamai (JP) award will be given to 22 recipients including Lobak state assemblyman Khoo Seng Hock and lawyer Lee Kong Fee.
Veteran journalist Adam Sindut, state CID Chief Asst Comm Mohmad Salleh and Rotarian Dr C.S. Paul are among 122 to receive the Ahli Setia Negri Sembilan.
