PUTRAJAYA: Companies will be required to apply for a special licence before they can employ in-house security guards under a review of the Private Agencies Act 1971.
In-house guards in such companies will have to undergo an approved training programme and police vetting before the Home Ministry issues a licence, the ministry's Undersecretary for Security and Public Order Datuk Hamzah Md Rus said.
