KOTA KINABALU: The state Security Council will consider a request by Indonesia to allow its citizens staying illegally in Sabah to surrender and be deported without being charged in court, similar to the “grace period” given to Philippine citizens.
Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman, who is council chairman, said he would discuss the matter with the relevant officials before making a decision on whether to allow Indonesians staying in the state illegally be given a grace period to return home.
