MIRI: The transboundary movement of people and goods between Brunei and Sarawak has picked up considerably in recent weeks, a sign that cross-border dealings are regaining normalcy after being badly hit by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak.
Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Sim Hock Guan said there had been a “notable increase” in people and goods traffic from the sultanate to Miri lately, judging from the increasing crowd in the town, especially on public holidays and weekends.
