ALOR STAR: Police have arrested 51 fishermen from Kuala Sanglang in connection with Tuesday's incident in which about 100 fishermen in 40 boats stormed the Fisheries Department jetty in Kuala Kedah and seized four fishing boats which had been detained for illegal fishing.
Kota Star district police chief Asst Comm Hussain Bapoo said the fishermen had their statements recorded yesterday before being released on police bail.
