TOKYO: When 49-year-old Tan Soo Fieck left Malaysia to work here eight years ago, all she wanted was to earn enough for her daughter to go through college in Kuala Lumpur.
But, according to Tan, her daughter Poh Ying stopped communicating with her after four years and has not responded to her pleas to help her return home, leaving her in dire straits.
