NEAC: We still have right to review pact

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia still has the right to review the price of raw water although it did not do so in 1986 and 1987, according to the National Economic Action Council (NEAC). 

Referring to two clauses in the water agreements when rebutting Singapore's claim that Malaysia had lost the right to review the price, the NEAC said: “Clause 17 of the 1961 Water Agreement and Clause 14 of the 1962 Water Agreement clearly stated that the price of water 'shall be subjected to review after the expiry of 25 years ...'“
