Jail, rotan for chicken seller Man pleads guilty to possessing 1.9kg of cannabis

KOTA BARU: A chicken seller was sentenced to 13 years' jail and ordered to be given 10 strokes of rotan by the High Court here yesterday after he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of possessing 1.9kg of cannabis last year. 

Ouseng Sama-ae, 34, who was originally charged with trafficking the same amount of cannabis under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 at Kampung Berek, Banggu, on Jan 1, 2002, had his charge amended to possession under Section 39A of the same Act by the court.
