PETALING JAYA: The KL Fashion Week 2003 gala dinner will see a stream of corporate elites turning up at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur on Aug 19.
Among them will be Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd (GSC), which has accepted the invitation and purchased the Shantung Silk table priced at RM15,000.
“We are most pleased to be supporting this event as it is an excellent initiative to raise funds for Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman,” said its chief executive Koh Mei Lee after receiving a plaque with a framed miniature qi pao from Star Publications (M) Bhd advertising and business development general manager Datin Linda Ngiam.

Koh said PPB Group Bhd (parent company for GSC) had always been a keen supporter of educational endeavours.
The gala dinner themed Style and Sensuality will take off with a sumptuous eight-course dinner during which 20 top Dalian models will take part in a fashion parade.
The award-winning models will showcase an exclusive collection of qi pao (cheongsam) by designer Wu Guobin, from Dalian, that will be the highlight of the show.
Apart from that, the runway will also see the parade of Tropical Collection from Zang Toi, Sarimah Adzrina and Justin Oh, The Exquisite Nyonya Kebaya from Butik Ang Eng and Matching Menswear by Key Ng.
The dinner will culminate the successful staging of the inaugural KL Fashion Week 2003, organised by The Star and presented by L’Oreal, which was held between April 23 and 27.
Guest-of-honour for the gala dinner is Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood, the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Tables for the dinner are still available; the RM15,000 Shantung Silk table, RM12,000 Chiffon and RM9,000 Organza.
