KOTA KINABALU: Another round of debate over whether a politician should be holding the cultural title of Huguan Siou or Kadazandusun paramount leader is resurfacing, with criticisms being hurled at its current holder.
Brushing aside the brickbats, Datuk Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who was accorded Huguan Siou status in 1985, said those who questioned or disputed his role did not fully appreciate or understand the functions of the paramount leader.
