KOTA KINABALU: Maritime security is becoming even more critical with the responsibilities of naval forces in Asean countries now extending beyond defence and combating piracy.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said among the primary tasks for Asean navies was ensuring the continuous and unobstructed movement of goods and energy in the region.
