PETALING JAYA: The Star’s efforts to bring in 10 top models from Dalian, China, for the KL Fashion Week 2003 gala dinner is a sign of the return to normalcy of tourism activities after the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak, said Culture, Arts and Tourism Minister Datuk Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir.
He said that, before the outbreak, plans were in place to double Chinese tourist arrivals from 500,000 last year to a million this year.
