KOTA KINABALU: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) wants to revamp its ageing computer systems to overcome system down time, which sometimes affects 75% of its operations.
JPJ Director-General Datuk Emran Kadir said the systems, installed in 1992 and last upgraded in 1996, coupled with telecommunication line problems forced the system to go offline between 50% and 75% of the time.
