Woman's body found floating in river

KUALA LUMPUR: The body of a woman, believed to have been strangled to death, was found floating on Sungai Kelang near the pedestrian bridge opposite Kuen Cheng Girls School. 

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Noh Kandah said City Hall workers found the body at 11.30am and used an excavator to remove the body. 

Police said there were strangulation marks on her neck. 

ACP Noh said the body was clad in a grey shirt and the deceased could have been raped.  

The body has been sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post mortem.  

In another case, the skeletal remains of a man, was recovered at a clearing on a hill near Puncak Jalil, Puchong, here on Thursday. 

The man, in his late 40s, was in the driver’s seat of the Proton Wira.  

The car had been reclined and burnt.
