INDIAN Progressive Front (IPF) will ensure that Indian voters in Selangor and Perak, which form the highest number of such voters in the country, vote for Barisan Nasional in the coming general election, reports Malaysia Nanban

IPF president Datuk M. G. Pandithan said the party’s members would go to the ground to meet the people to ensure that they supported the Barisan.

Pandithan said this at his party’s Kuala Langat division delegates’ meeting.

In another development, the daily reported that Malaysian Indian Artiste Foundation would draw up strategies to help needy members and look after their well-being.

Foundation’s spokesman A. Ramachandran, during a fund-raising dinner recently, said that they would offer insurance schemes to members.

Tamil Nesan, while reporting on the same event, said the foundation’s chairman Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, also planned to help local artistes financially.
