SEREMBAN: Three-fourths of all new diseases emerging from around the world over the past 30 years are microbes or viruses which are transmitted from animals to human.
Health Minister Datuk Chua Jui Meng said the country had encountered one such experience in the form of the Nipah virus which was transmitted from pigs, while in other countries, there were many sickness linked to animals.
