KUALA LUMPUR: After months of intense preparation, the Umno choir is all geared up to give its best again at the general assembly next week.

They will be clad in baju melayu and baju kurung of crimson shades.

SAL College student Nur Adlina Mohd Nooramin Kaw, 18, said she was honoured to be part of the choir.

“This is my third time. I am a little nervous, butI'm very proud to be given the chance,” she said.

“Choirmaster Mohd Fauzi Mokhtar said that the choir of 100 girls and 100 boys had been practising for three hours every weekend.

“We select students who are disciplined because to have a good and effective choir, you need members who have the commitment and enthusiasm,” he said.

The choir will perform eight songs including Negaraku, Pemuda, Wanita and Puteri songs, Barisan Nasional song, Bersatu Bersetia Berkhidmat and Umno Teras Negara.
