Cops waiting for report on shooting from Thais

PUTRAJAYA: Police are still waiting for a report from their Thai counterparts on investigations into the shooting of a Malaysian businessman in Haadyai on the same day his brother was attacked and killed in Sungai Besar, Selangor. 

Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Noor Hamat said they were in close contact with their counterparts in Kedah, who were working with Thai police. 

No arrests had been made so far over the murder in Sungai Besar, DCP Mohd Noor told reporters after launching the police beat base in Taman Putra Perdana, Dengkil, yesterday. 

On Monday, Kee Tick You, 36, was shot, slashed and stabbed to death by three intruders in front of his children at his house in Sungai Besar. 

His brother Tick Leng, 42, has been warded in Haadyai after being shot by two gunmen on a motorcycle while having dinner with his Thai wife, Waraporn Kee Riong, 28. 

His wife was also injured.
