IPOH: A Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) matriculation student was killed when the car she was travelling in crashed in Grik early yesterday.
Hulu Perak traffic chief Asst Supt Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said Nor Azlinda Mahadi, 22, sustained head injuries and died on the spot in the 5.40am incident at the 7.5th kilometre of the Grik-Lenggong road.
ASP Mohd Zaidi said the victim was with her brother Ahmad Rizal, 30, who was driving, mother Bee Umi Abdul Ghani, 54 and sister Norizati, 24. They were believed to be headed to Pengkalan Hulu from Kuala Lumpur.
Bee Umi broke her ribs and is being treated at the Grik Hospital.
In an unrelated incident, motorcyclist Yusni Ahmad, 28, was killed on the spot after a collision with a lorry at the 3rd kilometre of the Grik-Pengkalan Hulu road at 11.40pm on Friday. Bernama
