SEGAMAT: Police have uncovered more than 500 mortar shells, believed to be from the Second World War, buried along the banks of Sungai Gatom near Labis, about 36km from here.
The shells, measuring between 60mm and 150mm, were recovered after five youths found seven of the shells while fishing along the river at about 7.30pm on Friday.
