Farm owner pleads not guilty

ALOR GAJAH: The owner of Siow Jit Choon Chicken Farm Sdn Bhd claimed trial to a charge of manufacturing optical discs without a permit in his chicken farm. 

Siow Jit Choon, 48, pleaded not guilty before magistrate Norhasmiza Othman.  

Siow was said to have committed the offence on May 29, 2003, at 6.40pm. 

The accused was charged under Section 7 of the Optical Disc Act 2000 (Act 606).  

Norhasmiza, who fixed Aug 19 for mention, granted a RM30,000 bail and ordered Siow to hand over his passport to the court.
