KOTA KINABALU: Authorities here are giving themselves 48 hours to deport detained illegal immigrants once their status have been determined.
“We do not want to hold them for too long since our three temporary immigration detention centres have limited capacity,” said Sabah police spokesman Chief Insp Rieduan Abdullah.
