PETALING JAYA: Environmental groups have called on the Pahang Government to reconsider lifting the freeze on development projects in Cameron Highlands, citing the lack of progress made in ensuring better environmental protection by developers and the authorities.
Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) executive director Dr Loh Chi Leong said there had been no evidence yet that developers would do their work properly and follow the requirements for environmental protection.
