PETALING JAYA: The public should not immediately think they have SARS if they have pneumonia-like symptoms in the coming months with the onset of the dengue and influenza season, said Universiti Malaya’s professor of medical microbiology Datuk Dr Lam Sai Kit.
He said only those who had high fever, respiratory problems and had travelled to a SARS-affected country or had been in contact with a SARS patient should be concerned about contracting SARS.
