ROYAL GUEST: The Raja Permaisuri Agung Tuanku Fauziah Al-Marhum Tengku Abdul Rashid, who was guest-of-honour, congratulating The Star sub-editor Rajvinder Singh and his bride Ranteer Kaur at their wedding reception at the Kelab Golf Negara Subang in Kelana Jaya on Sunday.
Rajvinder’s 57-year-old mother Diljit Kaur (second from left) worked as a nurse to Tuanku Fauziah’s granddaughter, Puteri Norlin, who was born prematurely two years ago. The Queen has since become a close family friend.
