KUALA LUMPUR: A lorry driver was stabbed to death while resting in front of his hostel in Ayer Panas, Setapak here.

Lee Sze Fong, 50, suffered two stab wounds to his stomach on Friday night. He died at Tawakal Hospital.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ayob Mohamed said police detained two Myanmar workers to help in the investigation yesterday.

He said Lee’s employer found him lying in a pool of blood when he went to the office, which was opposite the hostel.

However, Lee was too weak to talk and could not disclose much about the attack.

Police urged eyewitnesses and those with information to contact the district police headquarters at 03-4042 2222.

In an unrelated incident in Petaling Jaya yesterday, three burglars forced open the gate of a sundry shop near the Old Town market before carting away cigarettes and other items worth over RM10,000.
