BANGKOK: Thailand's premier has reassured the Petronas chief that local protests will not interfere with the completion of a gas pipeline linking Thailand and Malaysia with an offshore field.
Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said he had given his reassurance to Petronas president and chief executive Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican during a courtesy call at Government House on Thursday that the project would be completed by 2005.
