PENANG: To deal with the backlog of criminal court cases in Penang, Selangor and Johor, specialised High Courts will be assigned to hear only criminal trials, appeals and applications.
Chief Judge of Malaya Datuk Haidar Mohd Noor said one High Court in Penang would be set aside to hear criminal matters, while Shah Alam and Johor Baru would each have either one or two of such courts.
