KUALA LUMPUR: Relief measures for sectors hit by the SARS outbreak are expected to be announced next week when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad reveals the much-awaited economic stimulus package.
Aimed at providing relief for three to six months, these measures, which Dr Mahathir will announce in his capacity as Finance Minister, will see a larger involvement of banks coming in to lend a helping hand.
