THE Education Ministry has allowed half of the country’s 60 independent Chinese secondary schools to take in foreign students.
Nanyang Siang Pau and Sin Chew Daily quoted the ministry’s Private Education Department deputy director-general Chua Chee Ming as saying that permits will be issued in the next two months to 30 private Chinese schools that had applied to recruit foreign students.
