KUALA LUMPUR: Direct-selling companies no longer have to renew their licences yearly while new companies need only fork out RM1.5mil instead of RM2.5mil as paid-up capital under new conditions set by the Government.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the new rules were in line with the Cabinet Committee on Competitiveness’ decision to loosen trade regulations, support the direct-selling industry and encourage healthy competition among companies.
