MERSING: Explosives and ammunition seized by Malaysian security forces from a group of Filipinos who were in a boat off Sabah last week were for a wedding feast in the southern Philippines and not meant to be smuggled into Malaysia, according to army chief Jen Datuk Wira Mohd Shahrom Nordin.
According to him the boat carrying the explosives, ammunition and the 22 Philippine nationals had strayed from its route into Malaysian waters.
