KUALA LUMPUR: People who believe that they could have Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) should go directly to designated hospitals set up specifically to deal with the illness instead of private clinics or hospitals.
“People who have SARS symptoms like fever and cough, and have been to an affected area or been in contact with a patient should go straight to the triage centres at these hospitals instead of general practitioners,” said Kuala Lumpur Hospital consultant physician in infectious disease Dr Christopher Lee yesterday.
