SHAH ALAM: The stricter polygamy laws in Selangor are not meant to deny Muslim men the right to remarry but to separate those with genuine intentions from those with selfish reasons, said an executive councillor.
“Polygamy is allowed under Islam with the strict condition that a husband must be fair in all aspects to the wives," said state Women’s Affairs Committee chairman Datin Paduka Norkhaila Jamaluddin.
