PETALING JAYA: Six pet health products have been added to the growing list of Pan Pharmaceuticals Ltd products recalled by the Australian authorities.

According to a report in The Australian yesterday, the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority identified the products on Thursday, stating that it “can’t be satisfied that the products are 100% safe.”

The six veterinary products, used mainly for dogs and cats, are two different types of dewormers, a urinary tract treatment, an arthritis treatment, an antibacterial product and an analgesic.

Pan Pharmaceuticals lost its veterinary licence on Tuesday following evidence of a series of safety and quality breaches.

The Australian health authorities suspended its licence to manufacture medicines for six months from Monday and also cancelled its approval to supply 1,650 products for export.

The Veterinary Services Department declined to issue a statement until it received confirmation of the recalled products.
