PENANG: A medical hall operator was jailed for six months by a magistrate’s court yesterday for illegal possession of 313.7kg of dried pangolin scales.
Teh Yik Seng, 28, admitted having the scales of some 900 pangolins of the manis javanica species at the state Department of Wildlife and National Parks’ export/import consignment centre in Jalan Gurdwara here at 6.30pm on April 3.
