KUALA LUMPUR: Producer/director Datuk Yusof Haslam was elected the new deputy president of Film Producers Association of Malaysia (PFM) at its 21st annual general assembly yesterday.

“I accept this new 'job' as the majority of the members want me to represent them. I had no intention to challenge or topple anyone,” he said in reference to Datuk Jins Shamsuddin, the long-serving veteran film-maker and actor, whom he replaces.
