PETALING JAYA: The body of a mother and her two children who drowned at a lake in Taman Jaya were buried yesterday after Friday prayers.

Norila Mat Nasir, 31, was buried with her children, Nurizzati, five, and Nuriwana, 18 months, in Kampung Baiduri here.

Her husband, Amiruddin bin Ahmad, 37, an automobile machine operator, was too distraught to speak about the tragedy.

But his eldest daughter Norhaniza, nine, said that she had gone around the village with her father at 9.30pm to search for her mother.

She said her mother was not at home when she returned from school.

Norila's sister, Halijah, 43, said: “She had not been well for almost a year.”
