Marathon to raise funds for Utar

JOHOR BARU: A stairs-climbing marathon up 35 floors of the Menara Landmark building will be held next month to raise funds for Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. 

The event, to be held on May 1 and organised by the Pulai MCA Wanita and Youth wings, would require participants to climb to the top floor or some 900 steps in the building here. 

Event spokesman Stanley Tan said those who completed the run would be awarded a certificate. 

There would also be dance performances, charity sales and a children’s colouring contest sponsored by McDonald’s at the venue.
