PENANG: The Penang Hospital has tightened its Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) screening system so that the case of not immediately admitting probable SARS patient will not be repeated.
Doctors at the hospital had allowed a 30-year-old air cargo company pilot, who had just arrived from Hong Kong, to leave the hospital as his chest X-ray was normal, although he had a fever and cough.
