KUALA LANGAT: The RM130mil Klang-Banting highway will be completed by the end of this year, bringing an end to a four-year wait.

Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said the delay in the completion of the highway, initially scheduled to be completed in December, was caused by the decision to minimise land acquisition.

He said the highway was being constructed without causing much disturbance to the environment and properties.

“By keeping the land acquisition to the very minimum, we have also managed to keep cost at bay,” he said after visiting the project site here yesterday.
