Bodyguard passes away

PUTRAJAYA: Kpl Yusoff Ibrahim, one of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s long-time personal bodyguards, passed away after an asthma attack last night.  

Yusoff, 54, died at his home in 1230, Jalan 18/51, Taman Seri Serdang, in Serdang at 9pm. 

Yusoff, who was Dr Mahathir’s bodyguard since 1978, leaves behind a wife and seven children. 

He will be buried at the Muslim cemetery in Serdang before the Friday prayers today.
