JOHOR BARU: It is almost a ritual for many Singaporeans to cross over to Malaysia whenever there is a holiday in the republic and the Easter weekend is no exception despite the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) scare.
Singapore-registered cars were seen queuing to get immigration clearance at the Causeway from as early as 7am yesterday – which was Good Friday – and by 10am, the queue stretched for almost a kilometre.
