KUALA LUMPUR: Doctors and clinicians at designated hospitals are urged to be accurate before reporting probable cases of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), after a probable case in Negri Sembilan turned out to be a false alarm caused by an error in the patient's chest X-ray.

Health deputy director-general Datuk Dr Ismail Merican said the 42-year-old patient had previously been reported as a probable SARS case because of a chest X-ray that appeared hazy, a sign of possible pneumonia.
