PUTRAJAYA: Employers who fail to put into practice the government’s guidelines on curbing the spread of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) at their workplaces may risk being fined RM50,000 or face a jail term of up to two years.
Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) deputy director-general Zainuddin Abdullah said the duties of the employers had been clearly spelt out under Section 15 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
