KUALA LUMPUR: For a minute on Saturday night, more than 4,000 people sent a silent prayer to wish beloved Kor Kor (elder brother) Leslie Cheung the peace that he failed to find in this world.
Still reeling from the sudden death of the Cantopop icon who fell to his death from the 24th floor of a posh hotel in Hong Kong on April 1, local fans – from spiky-haired young men to matronly women – gathered at the memorial for Cheung organised by Chinese radio station 98.8 and production house Venus Creative.
